Friday 4 July 2025 Senior School Prizegiving 2025 Last night we welcomed former pupil Roger Baird to present the prizes to our senior pupils. Tribute was made by the Headmaster to Gareth Baird who retired as Chairman. It was wonderful to see so many former Governors and family supporting the prizegiving and Gareth's retirement.

Tuesday 24 June 2025 Form 1 visit the Fruit Shop Form 1 visited the greengrocers shop in Melrose this morning as part of learning about where our food comes from. They bought fruit and looked at a giant world map to find where they were grown. Did you know that the Kiwi took 25 days to be shipped form New Zealand?

Wednesday 18 June 2025 Melrose Festival Fancy Dress Competition A fabulous turnout from pupils for the #melrosefestival fancy dress competition tonight. Even some staff were convinced to become a minion! We were delighted to be awarded 2nd place in the mixed age groups category.Huge thanks to all who participated and to the festival committee for a great evening.

Friday 6 June 2025 Kith 'n' Kin - June 2025 Following final exams for our senior pupils, family and friends joined us for our annual Kith 'n' Kin. Family and friends were shown around the school, visited the French Cafe, watched tennis, cricket and rounders, and then gathered in the Morrison Hall for a recital and an address by the Headmaster.

Tuesday 3 June 2025 Melrose Festival Junior Ride Out Pupils supported the Junior Ride Out on Monday night, watched by staff and boarders.

Tuesday 3 June 2025 Form 1 Farm Trip 2025 Form 1 had a wonderful day at Sandystones Farm. They mixed cake for the cow's breakfast, watched the farrier getting the ponies ready for the Ride Out, counted hens & eggs, fed Titus the Tortoise and had a picnic! Thank you so much to Mr and Mrs Lee for such a fun and interesting day, we all learnt so much about where our food comes from!

Thursday 22 May 2025 Form 4 attend the Border Union Schools Countryside Day 2025 On Tuesday 20th May, Form 4 attended the Border Union Schools Countryside Day in Kelso where the aim of the day was for children to experience as many aspects of rural life as possible. The day included rural skills, past, present and future. There were around 50 exhibitors attending the event to give the children the opportunity to learn about many rural businesses and skills, with a number of organisations allowing the children to take part in hands on activities such as planting seeds, milking a cow and making butter. The children saw examples of crops that are grown locally and the products that they are used to create. A fantastic educational day out!
